Each beanie carries two patches — one on the outside, one on the inside — so it can be worn either way: folded traditional or long. The patches are made and applied by hand in the USA. The blank beanies are sourced in bulk; the work that makes them ours is done here, one at a time, made to order in 22 colors.
The designs are people and symbols we consider worth wearing: Mae Jemison, Winston Churchill, Alan Turing, Rosa Parks, Nikola Tesla, the Moon landings — and the original 1946 radiation trefoil, aligned as a Y. That one is our symbol of support for nuclear energy, and it is permanent.
